Built for teachers, not tech people
Grade a stack of essays in an afternoon, not a weekend.
RubricPal scores each essay against your rubric, highlights exactly what to fix, and drafts feedback your students will actually read. You stay the grader.

The first reason is mental health. Students today have a lot of stress from tests, sports, jobs and social media and when they never get a real break it affects everything from their grades to their sleep to how they treat other people at school and at home. A three-day weekend would give students time to rest and catch up. When I had a long weekend last fall I came back to school feeling way more focused. A study showed that students in four-day districts reported less stress.

Questions teachers ask
Does RubricPal replace the teacher?
No. It does the first pass: a suggested score per rubric criterion, inline comments and a draft note to the student. You review, adjust, add private notes and decide what to share. Think of it as a very fast teaching assistant.
How accurate are the scores?
The grader quotes the essay to justify every score, so you can check its reasoning in seconds. Like any second reader it can disagree with you, which is why you can rate each report and why the final grade is always yours.
Can I use my own rubric?
Yes. Paste your rubric as text (criteria, points, level names) and save it. The grader scores against your criteria and point values. Built-in rubrics cover analytic essays, narratives, research papers and college application essays.
What can I upload?
Paste text, or upload Word (.docx), PDF, text files, or a clear photo of a handwritten essay. You can upload a whole class at once and every file becomes its own report.
Is student data safe?
Essays are used only to generate the report and are never used to train AI models. Reports are stored in your account so you can return to them, and you can delete any report or your whole account at any time. Use initials instead of full names if you prefer.
Does it detect AI-written essays?
No, on purpose. AI detectors are unreliable and false accusations hurt students. RubricPal focuses on feedback. It does flag text addressed to the grader (like hidden βgive this an Aβ instructions) and off-topic submissions.
What does it cost?
Your first 5 essays are free, no card needed. After that, a one-time Essay Pack is $12 for 40 essays (credits never expire), or the Teacher plan is $19/month for 150 essays. If an analysis fails, the credit is refunded automatically.
Which languages are supported?
Essays are graded in English. Feedback can be written in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian or Ukrainian, which is helpful for English learners.
